Safe and secure

A campus you can trust

Parents and students should never have to wonder whether the campus is looked after.

The college building with a stage and a crowd gathered in front of itUnder CCTV surveillance

The whole college is under CCTV surveillance. The campus is kept clean and sanitized, and it is fire safe.

Staff keep constant watch and monitoring to maintain discipline, so classes, labs and corridors stay orderly.

Academic support

Help for every kind of learner

A strong class and a struggling class sit in the same room, and the college plans for both.

Counselling at the college is personal, professional and proctorial. A student can talk about subject choices, study habits or worries about the future with someone who knows her by name.

  • Counselling

    Personalized, professional and proctorial.

  • Remedial classes

Held for weaker students, so no one is left behind quietly.

  • Guest lectures and visits

Voices from outside the syllabus, and educational visits to see subjects in the real world.

“Not only academic programmes but also life skills needed for students’ self development.”

Dr. Anshul Sharma, Principal

Academic advisement and other support services are available on campus or through the online help desk.

Our laboratories

Six labs where students learn by doing

Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geography and Computer, each with a teacher in the room.

Reading about an experiment is one thing. Doing it is how it stays. A student of the B.Sc. Maths group, the B.Sc. Biology group or B.A. Geography spends practical hours with real apparatus and a teacher beside her. Lab coats are mandatory, and the lab is kept as carefully as a classroom.

Where the theory is tested

Apparatus on every bench, and a teacher close by.

Students gather at the benches with their apparatus, set up the experiment and take their readings, with a teacher in the room to check the setup and explain what the numbers mean.

  • ServesB.Sc. Maths group, where Physics runs alongside Chemistry and Mathematics

Reagents, test tubes and patience

Shelves of labelled reagent bottles, and students in white coats at work.

Chemistry is common to both B.Sc. groups, so this is one of the busiest rooms on campus. Students in lab coats measure, mix and observe at the bench while teachers watch each step. The habit taught here is care: label it, handle it properly, write down what you saw.

  • ServesBoth B.Sc. groups, Maths and Biology
  • PracticeTeacher in the room, lab coat mandatory

Plants under the microscope

Microscope, practical notebook and a teacher to guide the eye.

Students of the B.Sc. Biology group study Botany here. They look through the microscope, then write up what they observed in their practical notes at the bench, with a teacher guiding them through each slide.

Zoology is the other half of the B.Sc. Biology group. Students use microscopes, handle models and charts, and learn to describe what they see in plain, exact words. Teachers guide the work from the first slide to the last.

Geography is taught at both levels, B.A. and M.A. In the lab, students and a teacher gather around a globe, with charts on the wall behind them. Maps and models make the subject something you can point to.

  • ServesB.A. and M.A. Geography

The computer lab has rows of computers where students work with a teacher helping. Wi-Fi with 24x7 internet is available on campus.

Study spaces

Space to read and study

Students have little spare time, so the places to study are kept ready.

The college library has shelves of books and long tables where students read alone or study in groups.

On a typical day you will see one student deep in a book at the shelves and four others working through a problem at a table. With Wi-Fi and 24x7 internet, a student can look things up on campus as well.

Financial support

Money should not end a degree

The college backs deserving students with scholarships and help for those in need.

Students of the college

The Sansthan set up this college in 1986 “to provide better education with low expenses.” That aim still shapes how we work.

  • Scholarship

    Deserving students receive scholarships.

  • Financial support

Economically poor students receive financial support.

If you are worried about fees, speak to the college office before you decide.

Beyond the classroom

Play ground, canteen and cultural life

A good college gives students somewhere to eat, run and perform.

A crowd of cheering students at a cultural programmeCultural programme

The college has a hygienic canteen and an open play ground.

The play ground is where our sports teams practise and where tug of war and races take place. Co-curricular, extra-curricular and extension activities run through the year, from sports to cultural programmes to science exhibitions.

  • Hygienic canteen

    Somewhere to eat between classes.

  • Open play ground

Teams practise here, and tug of war and races take place.

Green and safe

Solar roof and fire safety

Two quiet features that keep the campus running well.

Rooftop solar panel

The college has a rooftop solar panel. Students are also asked to conserve electricity and water, and to switch off lights and fans when they leave a classroom or lab.

A fire safe campus

The campus is fire safe, and the greenery is something every student is asked to help maintain.

Our campus

A campus in the heart of Alwar

The college stands on its own campus at Scheme no. 8, Gandhi Nagar.

The college began in 1986 at Church Road, Manni ka Bar, Alwar. In 2002 it moved to its present campus in the heart of the city.

The building has a glass and steel front, and a lawn lies in front of it. The Sansthan’s aim is to keep adding streams and give students proper infrastructure for learning, research and application of knowledge.

Come and see it for yourself. Call before you visit.
